The programmes have been designed by Rebekah Charlton and Marya Hopman - personal trainers and corrective exercise specialists who have years of experience working with seniors and special populations.
The programmes are also physiotherapist approved and meet the criteria of the ACC Live Stronger for Longer initiative for the improvements of strength and balance in those 65+.

We recommend offering a minimum of two classes per week to provide options for your residents and help build momentum and routine.
Start with 60-minute sessions. They might find this challenging at first, but they'll soon discover just how much they can do. You can always offer a shorter class as an alternative if demand warrants.
Have a least two trained SuperCue Assistants. They can be staff or volunteers. This avoids reliance on a single person, and helps ensure consistency in service delivery.
You can choose to offer the classes for free as part of your service. Or you can charge a small fee e.g. $5 per class or $20 a month. This can help cover the monthly membership or even generate a surplus for your village or facility.
You could consider opening the class up to others. This expands the social benefits for your residents, and helps build your profile in your local community.
Host a morning or afternoon tea launch event to introduce the programme.
Show our 5-minute promotional video, and provide interested residents with a Welcome Pack. This includes a handout providing everything they need to know to prepare for the class, as well as a Registration/Pre-Screen form.
Collect participants' email addresses at their first class and enter them into the SuperCue database through the Assistant Portal. Then we can help look after them. We'll follow up with emails, surveys, tips and encouragement to keep them attending.
You can help too! Keep an attendance register and recognise milestones. Provide incentives, rewards or certificates when they have attended 5,10,25 or more sessions.
You can regularly promote classes via your newsletter and noticeboards. Include our weekly SuperMover Tips to educate all your residents on posture, movement and managing aches and pains. And it may provide that little nudge to come along and try a class.
You start by purchasing the 3-month no-obligation Introductory Package. This provides you immediate access to the Assistant online training for as many staff or volunteers as you wish, along with 3-months access to the programmes, resources and support. If you and your residents are happy with the service, you can roll over into a 12-month Licence.
It costs between $140 and $250+GST per month depending on the size of your village.
Yes. You can add a USB subscription where programmes are sent out to you regularly on a USB stick.
